Erican college

Erican college is one of the developing college in Malaysia. Despite its low popularity, Erican college always strives to give the best to its students and clients. Erican college was founded by Dato Eric Chong in 1990. His determination and passion towards education and bussiness is what made Erican college a trustable platform to gain education. Erican college is located at the of heart of Kuala Lumpur. Students studying in Mass communication and psychology will find it easier to conduct their studies since Suria KlCC is a very busy place and also known as a tourist spot. Students will be able to adapt and learn new cultures once they come to Kuala Lumpur. Today, I am going to explain my experience of being an erican students and the good side of Erican college

First of all, Erican college is located near to public transports such as LRT. It made students life easier. Students who travel from far are able to reach to the college on time because of the public transport available nearby. Imagine how a student’s life would be if there is no public transport nearby the college?. The students probably will spend half of their time in traffic jam in Kuala Lumpur Roads.

In term of education, they always motivate their students to step out of their comfort zone. From my personal experience, I had social anxiety before I joined Erican. The support from my lectures, friends and also the environment made me into a social butterfly. The lectures in Erican college are very friendly to their students. They are willing to help their students regardless of their own problem. At the end of the day all they want is to shape someone who is capable of facing problems in life and their work field in the future. The lectures always prioritize the students well- being. They know that being hard on students is not going to help them improvise their mistake and behavior. Instead, they always deal with their students in a more friendly way. They all are specialized in analyzing their student’s behavior and performance in the classroom. Moreover, the assignments given by the lectures are very challenging and most of the assignments require high order thinking skills. In my personal opinion, I find it as a way to encourage students to fully use their cognitive ability. In secondary school, most of the students might spent their time only memorizing instead of implementing the theories they studied in real life. Therefore, students lose the ability to think out of the box and it later affects their work life. The lectures are highly trained and few of them are from other countries. The learning process is much more easier in college compared to school. The time allocations for each subject are very preferable and convenient for students. The students are given semester breaks so it can help them to reduce their stress and they can utilize their time to do their assignments and study for their exams. Students does not have to bring a bag of books to college. They can easily access to the notes through their phone or any electronic gadgets. Students in Erican are able to access to a system called MY CAMU, where they can check their academic performance and attendance. One of the best thing about this college is that it offers scholarships for students who did well in their SPM. Another thing is that if someone is not capable of paying the course fee, Erican college makes an agreement with that student that he or she must work under erican college for a certain period of time to pay the course fee. From this, we can clearly see that Erican college does not want anyone to be neglected and they believe that everyone deserves education regardless of their background.

Erican college provides various facilities to make sure their students are comfortable and to ease their learning process. The culinary arts students are the luckiest one since they are provided with their own kitchen to practice their skills. The lives of psychology students are very interesting in erican college as they are brought to various places to do research about the human mind. The college also provides free Wi-fi and has it’s own computer lab to help students carry out their assignments. Mass communication students In a nutshell, all the courses that have been provided by Erican college has its own benefits and the students can gain experience by just travelling all over the place with their respective lectures. The college has allowed the students from various courses to conduct events. The college encourages the student to develop a sense of responsibility by encouraging them to conduct events without the college’s involvement. It is something that I personally like from Erican college. When it comes to food, Erican college is located near various kind of shops. Since Erican is also providing education to international students, the entire place is surrounded by restaurants which differs in culture. Therefore, students are able to taste various type of food.

Erican college also conducts success forum. Erican college will invite successful people to the college to give a talk. Dato Eric Chong wants his students to get inspired by their stories and he wants all of us to know what life is all about.  The students are instructed to attend at least eight success forum as it plays a huge role in their respective course. Last year, Erican college invited Bryan Loo, the founder of Chat time. He talked about his and the struggles he faced as an entrepreneur. It was a privilege to meet a sedulous person like him.

Eventhough Dato Eric Chong is a very busy entrepreneur and has a lot of businesses to take care of besides his college, he is still working hard to transform his college in to a university in 5 years. This can be only achieved if the students are specialized in every aspect and highly capable of functioning on their own. Erican college is creating a bunch of talented people and those who are studying in Erican college can gain a lot of experiences and knowledges and also learn some life skills.
